Relatively estranged brothers Maurice and Lawrence are reunited when London-based Lawrence somewhat unexpectedly returns to the family home in Yorkshire on the day before a General Election. Family affairs, intertwined with melancholic recollections, ambiguous resentments and dark secrets slowly begin to unravel between the pair.
